4th of July weekend

New Boy and I spent Thursday night at my place, watching an AMAZING movie called “There Will Be Blood”…. let me tell you…. AWESOME!  What an incredible movie, it’s long, but worth it!  The dialogue is intense, and it really spoke.  

Last night (Happy 4th!!) I cooked dinner at his place and we watched an amazing storm roll in.  They cancelled many of ‘works around the city because of wind and storm… BUT as we were laying in bed after a good romp, we heard a few good hearty booms.  We snagged our cocktails and nick sticks, and ran outside.  There right outside of his complex were the ‘works!  We stood there in awe, with a few little schmoopy kisses.  Later, our friends M&B came over and we giggled while playing our Trivial Pursuit game.  What a night~  Now I sit at New Boy’s place after a loungey day, with good food in my belly and a nice glass of Pinot Noir waiting for my hard working man to come home to me.  Thank goodness for wine, texting, WordPress, and The Deadliest Catch……..  might have gone crazy! 

What a great feeling to be at “home” on a Saturday night with good thoughts in your mind, a full belly, a cocktail, and it’s still Saturday?!  Three day weekends have now been coined as my new bestest friend.  Sorry Marc and J- you’ve been replaced.  WOOT!
